Cobourg Police – Theft From Vehicles

In Police Blotter

The Cobourg Police Service is reminding residents to lock their vehicles to prevent theft.
The Cobourg Police Service continues to receive reports of theft from motor vehicles. We want to encourage residents to take proactive steps to keep your property safe from would be thieves. Theft is often a crime of opportunity. Thieves will more than likely move along if you make it difficult to break into your vehicle.
Cobourg Police is reminding the public to ensure they always lock their vehicle doors and do not leave valuables inside. Wallets, purses, keys and electronics are easy targets as they can contain personal information or access to homes which may lead to further victimization.

While our members are proactively making patrols throughout the Town, we still need our residents to be the eyes of your neighborhood. If you observe a suspicious person or circumstances you believe to be related to criminal activity, please call the police immediately.

Any questions may be directed to the Cobourg Police Service by calling 905-372-6821.
