Daniel Dupuis of Campbellford is celebrating after winning a $50,000 top prize with INSTANT CROSSWORD (Game #3241).

Daniel, a retiree, has been a loyal lottery player with OLG for the past 20 years. His go-to games are INSTANT CROSSWORD, ONTARIO 49, and LOTTARIO. Sometimes he chooses his own numbers, while other times he relies on OLG’s Quick Pick feature to make his selections. After years of playing, Daniel is delighted to share the story of his first big win!

“One evening, I went to the store and bought three CROSSWORD tickets,” the 76-year-old recalled, during his visit to the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to claim his winnings.

“When I got home, I played them one by one, and the last one gave me a shock — it was a $50,000 winner! In that moment, I was so happy and surprised. I couldn’t sleep that night because of all the excitement!”

The next morning, Daniel revealed the incredible news to his wife. “At first, she was in disbelief,” he said with a smile. “When I had my ticket validated and a representative from OLG called, that’s when she realized it was real.”

When asked what it feels like to be a winner, Daniel said, “It feels like ‘Yay!’ It’s just fantastic.”

With his windfall, Daniel plans to pay off his vehicle and save for the future.

INSTANT CROSSWORD is available for $3 a play and the top prize is $50,000. Odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.80. Visit the INSTANT page on OLG.ca for more information on this and other great games.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Centre Store on Centre Street in Campbellford.
