Belleville Police – Incidents Include Assault, Warrant

Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 108 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on July 14, 2025 to 5:00 am on July 15, 2025.

Assault
On July 12th, Belleville Police responded to a call at an apartment in the city’s west end regarding an assault.

Upon further investigation, officers learned that a male had spit on the victim after a verbal confrontation and then left the scene.

On July 14th, police located, arrested, and charged Michael Elliott, 40-year-old Belleville resident, for assault.

He was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in October 2025.

Warrant, Assault
On July 5th, Belleville Police took report for an unprovoked assault that occurred at Zwicks Park on July 1st.

Upon further investigation, a warrant was requested for the arrest of a 17-year-old female from Belleville.

On July 14th, the teen, whose identity cannot be released under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was located, arrested, and charged for assault.

She was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in August 2025.
