Peterborough County OPP – Arrest Made In Human Trafficking Investigation

As a result of a police investigation, detectives from the Crime Unit of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with the assistance of the OPP Anti-Human Trafficking Investigation Coordination Team have made an arrest in regards to human trafficking.
The investigation which has been ongoing since July-2018 began after officers from the Peterborough County OPP Detachment stopped a vehicle at a RIDE program. The officers became concerned for the female passenger and notified members of the Peterborough County Crime Unit. The investigation resulted in one male being arrested and charged.
Raynard BELL (age 36) of Kingston, Ontario has been arrested and charged with the following offences:
Procuring Under 18 Years
Fail to Comply with Recognizance-two counts
The accused was held for Weekend and Statutory Holid ay (WASH) court which occurred on September 29, 2018.
