Breaking News – Video – Several People Taken Into Custody Following Controlled Drug and Substances Act Search Warrants

Cobourg Police with the assistance of Port Hope Police, OPP and Belleville Tactical Team conducted three search warrants on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.

Today’s Northumberland was on scene shortly after a Controlled Drug and Substances Act search warrant was executed at an Alexandria Drive residence in Cobourg.

Several people were taken into custody.

Search warrants were also executed at an address on Shuter Street in Port Hope, and an address in Bowmanville.

Police are executing Controlled Drug and Substances Act search warrants with the assistance of the Port Hope Police Service, the Ontario Provincial Police, and the Belleville Police Service.

It is expected that there will be a police presence for the next several hours. Several people have been taken into custody.

An update will be provided when information is available.
