Video – Several People Charged with Trespassing at Encampment on CP Rail Property

CP Police charged several people with trespassing on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at an encampment in Cobourg.

The encampment was located east of the VIA station, just east of Division Street and had been there for several days, possibly weeks.

Earlier this week CP Police notified residents of the encampment they would be charged if they did not vacate the premises.

On Thursday afternoon CP Police charged several people with trespassing issuing a $65.00.

Amongst the tents were propane tanks, a drone, bouquet of flowers, spot lights, wire and numerous bicycles.
