NHH Foundation – Galalicious 2024 Total Raised

In Community, Local

On the evening of Saturday, November 2, 2024, Galalicious returned to Northumberland County, welcoming more than 450 guests, spread throughout 13 locations.

The third event of its kind organized by Northumberland Hills Hospital (NHH) Foundation, an
impressive $200,000 was raised during what was tagged as ‘A Night to Unite for NHH.’

In keeping with tradition, a post-event publication has been released featuring additional details and
photos from the evening. This year’s post event publication is available for viewing online at
www.galalicious.ca.

In a joint message from NHH Foundation CEO, Rhonda Cunningham, and Board Chair, Gavin Ivory,
the two share:

“To all those who attended, sponsored, bought an auction item or 50/50 ticket, or made an
outright donation through FUND ME, we say thank you.

Thank you for helping to strengthen local healthcare, Thank you for believing in the care teams
who only want the best for you, Thank you for choosing to make a positive difference in our
community. Everyday we are reminded of how valuable our health is and having a strong and
vibrant hospital plays a critical role in helping to meet those needs and in the lives of so many.

Thank you for joining us on our relentless mission to MAKE CARE BETTER.”

NHH Foundation’s annual Gala is the organization’s most financially successful fundraising event,
raising more than $3.95 million to date to support critical priorities at NHH over the past 24 years. The
Galalicious format was first introduced in 2021 as a spin on the event to bring people together while
abiding by all public health guidelines.

“Galalicious has always been about coming together for “A Night to Unite for NHH” shares Bridget
Smith, Galalicious 2024 Chair, “We broadened our community outreach, adding in additional local
dining options, some amazing auction items from our valued supporters, and raised considerable funds
for our wonderful Northumberland Hills Hospital.”

Galalicious 2024 featured many of the much-loved elements from past events, including an exciting
community raffle sponsored by Home Hardware Building Centres (Port Hope, Cobourg and Brighton); a
robust online auction showcasing our very supportive local businesses, and the Fund Me auction,
which raised money to purchase Vital Signs monitors across our hospital.
