Quinte West OPP – Drug Trafficking Investigation Leads to Charges (Name Released)

A Quinte West resident has been arrested after a drug trafficking investigation in the city.

On Monday, September 16, 2024, the East Region Community Street Crime Unit concluded an investigation with the arrest of one person.

The accused was located on Film Street, near McGill Street, and was arrested after a short-lived attempt to flee.

Investigators located and seized 6 grams of suspected fentanyl, over 40 grams of suspected methamphetamine, nearly two g rams of suspected cocaine and over $1,600 in cash.

Kevin SCURRY, aged 31 of Quinte West, has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
  • Resist peace officer
  • Fail to comply with probation order

The accused was remanded in custody and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Belleville at a later date.
