Murdoch Mysteries Returns to Cobourg to Film Scenes for Season 18

Parking Lot Bookings and Intermittent Traffic Stoppages
The Town of Cobourg would like to advise residents of an upcoming film permit for Shaftesbury Murdoch XVIII Inc. ‘Murdoch Mysteries’ Season 18.

Crews will be in the area starting Tuesday, September 10, 2024 for preparation. Wrap up will
take place on Thursday, September 12.

Filming:

Wednesday, September 11

Filming will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

• Victoria Hall exterior

• 25 King Street West in front of Lalies and the Dutch

Thursday, September 12

Filming will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

• 92 King Street West – Grandma’s Kitchen

• Victoria Park

• 181 Perry Street

Parking:

Film crews will be utilizing the following parking lots and on-street parking spots for production
vehicles and various pieces of film equipment:

• Second Street Parking Lot, north end only. From 7:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 10 until
10:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 12.

• Albert Street Parking Lot. From 7:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 10 until 10:00 p.m. on

Thursday, September 12.

• Centennial Pool Lot. From 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 11 until 10:00 p.m. on
Thursday, September 12.

• Marina Parking Lot. From 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10 until 10:00 p.m. on
Thursday September 12.

• Trinity Church Parking Lot (north end only). From 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 10
until 10:00 p.m. on Thursday September 12.

Various on-street parking spots have been paid for on September 11 and 12 to place
period vehicles and filming equipment:

• Church Street

• Perry Street

• Queen Street

• McGill Street

• Charles Street

• King Street, north side, between Spring Street and George Street

• King Street, south side, between Hibernia and Third Street

Intermittent Traffic Stoppages:

The film crew will work with the Cobourg Police Service who will supervise intermittent traffic
stoppages on:

• Wednesday, September 11: Third Street, Second Street, and King Street West.

• Thursday, September 12: King Street West, McGill Street, College Street, Church Street
and Queen Street.

• The audible crosswalk at King Street and Third Street will be turned off during filming
from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. A paid duty officer will be on
site to ensure safe road crossings.
