Video – Coast Guard to the Rescue for Small Watercraft on Lake Ontario

Members of the Canadian Coast Guard rescued a small watercraft on Lake Ontario on Saturday, April 20, 2024.

Shortly before 10 a.m. a person was taking a 10-foot watercraft on a test run off of Cobourg when it ran into mechanical problems with the 30 horsepower motor.

With a strong wind blowing the watercraft further out into the lake, the owner decided to call the Coast Guard to help him out.

The Coast Guard safely towed the watercraft to shore for repairs.

At this time of the season, there are very few boats on the water, so without the Coast Guard, the individual may have been on the water for some time.
