Cobourg Fire Department Responds to Grass Fire

Cobourg fire fighters extinguished a grass fire quickly on Tuesday, March 5, 2024.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. fire fighters were dispatched to Burnham Street just south of the CN Railway for a grass fire.

The fire was quickly extinguished with no apparent damage.

Burnham Street was closed from King Street to Westwood Drive until the fire was extinguished.

It’s advisable when out for a walk to carefully discard cigarettes or smoking materials around dry areas.
