Lower Trent Conservation Engaging the Community: Shaping Watershed Based Resource Management Together

In Local

Lower Trent Conservation (LTC) is thrilled to announce the launch of a survey aimed at shaping the coming years through our Draft Watershed Based Resource Management Strategy. From March 1st to March 31st, residents are invited to participate in an online survey, sharing their insights and perspectives. The survey, accessible on the Lower Trent Conservation website, will be used to help guide the organization’s Watershed Based Resource Management Strategy.

In accordance with Section 21.1 of the Conservation Authorities Act, Lower Trent Conservation is mandated to develop a Watershed-Based Resource Management Strategy. This Strategy outlines the guiding principles, objectives, and services of LTC. By participating, you can help LTC enhance its mandatory programs and services, identify potential issues and risks, and highlight future programs, services, and actions essential for LTC to achieve its long-term goals.

“Your input will shape the direction of our Watershed Based Resource Management Strategy, determining where we focus our efforts and resources in the years to come,” remarked Rhonda Bateman, Chief Administrative Officer at Lower Trent Conservation. “Your input is invaluable in shaping the future of LTC and ensuring it meets the needs of the community. “

Lower Trent Conservation is a community-based non-profit organization that works to protect, restore, and manage the natural resources within the Lower Trent watershed. Through collaborative efforts with stakeholders and the public, Lower Trent Conservation strives to ensure the long-term health and sustainability of our watersheds.

To take part in this important initiative, visit the Lower Trent Conservation website, https://ltc.on.ca/we-want-your-input/, to read the Draft Strategy and fill out the survey between March 1st and March 31st.
