A 73-year-old Cobourg woman has been charged following an investigation into a neighbourhood dispute.
In August 2026, police opened an investigation after receiving a report of an assault stemming from a neighbourhood dispute at a residence on King Street East in Cobourg.
As a result of the investigation, on October 21, 2026, a 73-year-old Cobourg woman was arrested and charged with assault. The accused was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
A 14-year-old Cobourg youth is facing charges following an assault investigation.
On October 19, 2026, police received a report that a youth had been assaulted and personal property damaged. As a result of the investigation, on October 22, 2026, police arrested and charged the 14-year-old with assault and mischief. The youth was released on a youth undertaking with conditions.
A woman is facing multiple charges following a shoplifting investigation at a Cobourg business.
On October 22, 2026, police responded to a report of shoplifting at a business on Elgin Street West in Cobourg. Police reviewed video surveillance and identified a suspect who had left the store with unpaid merchandise.
Police located the suspect and as a result of the investigation, a 35-year-old Cobourg woman was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order. The accused was held for a bail hearing.
A 25-year-old Cobourg man is facing charges after police investigated a report of attempted vehicle entry.
On October 22, 2026, at approximately 12:45 a.m., police received a report from a resident who observed an individual on a doorbell camera attempting to open the door of a vehicle on their property. Officers reviewed video footage, identified the individual, and located the individual nearby.
As a result of the investigation, a 25-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and charged with trespass at night and failure to comply with a probation order. The accused was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
A 54-year-old Cobourg man has been charged following an intimate partner violence investigation.
