The Northumberland Central Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Cobourg are pleased to announce Spoolon Manufacturing Limited as the 2024 James Crossen Lifetime Achievement Award winner.

Spoolon is a family owned and operated metal spools manufacturing business established in 1967 under the direction of Bill Ito and family. The 2024 James Crossen Lifetime Achievement
Award is proudly sponsored by Alliance Security Systems of Northumberland and will be presented at the Business Achievement Awards on Friday, March 22, 2024, at the Best
Western PLUS Cobourg Inn and Convention Centre.

The James Crossen Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes outstanding lifetime achievement and contribution to the business community. The award is named after James Crossen, founder of Cobourg Car Works and one of Cobourg’s earliest and most successful entrepreneurs.

“We are honoured and humbled to be recognized for such a prestigious award. Doing our part in this great community is something we feel strongly about. Part of what makes our community so great is that there are so many businesses who share the same philosophy,” says Mark Ito, P.Eng, Spoolon Manufacturing Limited.

“We’re absolutely delighted to recognize Spoolon with the prestigious James Crossen Lifetime Achievement Award. A multi-generational family-owned and operated manufacturing business, Spoolon has been an active and engaged supporter of the community and a member of the Northumberland Central Chamber of Commerce since 1969,” says Business Achievement Award Co-Chair Wendy Sommerville.

“Congratulations to Spoolon Manufacturing Limited for their exceptional achievement.

Winning the prestigious James Crossen Lifetime Achievement Award is a testament to your unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation, and your community. Here’s to celebrating
your remarkable journey and the countless milestones yet to come,” says Business Achievement Award Co-Chair Melissa Graham.
