Northumberland OPP Hosting Auxiliary Recruitment Information Session

In Local, Upcoming Events

The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is inviting community-minded individuals to learn more about serving their communities as volunteer members of the OPP Auxiliary Unit.

An Auxiliary Recruitment Information Session will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., at the Cramahe Fire Hall, located at 232 Purdy Road in Colborne.

The information session will provide attendees with an overview of the OPP Auxiliary Program, including volunteer opportunities, training requirements, and the important role Auxiliary members play in supporting policing and community safety initiatives across Ontario. Participants will also have an opportunity to meet Auxiliary members, ask questions about the recruitment process, and learn firsthand about their experiences serving their communities.

Members of the public will also have the opportunity to view OPP vehicles and speak with Auxiliary members about careers, volunteer service, and community engagement initiatives.

The OPP Auxiliary Program offers volunteers a unique opportunity to contribute to public safety while supporting community events, crime prevention initiatives, traffic safety campaigns, and public education programs alongside police officers.

Individuals interested in attending are encouraged to register in advance through Eventbrite; however, registration not mandatory and walk-ins welcome.

For more information about the OPP Auxiliary Program, visit the OPP website at OPP Auxiliary Program.

Anyone with a strong commitment to community service, professionalism, and public safety is encouraged to attend and discover how they can make a difference through volunteer service with the OPP Auxiliary Unit.
