Hamilton Township Candidates Forum for Councillor Positions Set For Thursday September 10th

In Local, Upcoming Events

With Municipal elections less than two months away, a Candidates Forum for Hamilton Township Councillor positions is set for Thursday evening September 10th at the Cold Springs Memorial Hall.

Candidates for Council positions are invited to participate in this forum sponsored by the Citizens’ Council of Hamilton Township and CFUW-Northumberland. All residents of the Township are welcome and audience questions will be encouraged to spark discussions on a range of issues.

“We’re looking to have a lively questions and answers opportunity between candidates and our audience about issues of concern for Hamilton Township, both now and in the future,” said Faye McFarlane, Chair of the Citizen’s Council. “Agricultural lands, tourism, population growth, the planned Wesleyville Nuclear Plant and housing are just some of the issues we’ll be looking at with the candidates.”

The event gets underway at 6:30 p.m. at the Cold Springs Memorial Hall. Light refreshments will be served during the evening courtesy of CFUW Northumberland, a local women’s group.
