Up Next at the Capitol: Born to be Bad: The Villains of Broadway

In entertainment, Local

A hero is only as good as their villain.

From the evildoers we adore to the scoundrels we love to hate, a new solo show from Capitol Theatre favourite Tahirih Vejdani (Little Shop of Horrors, Sleeping Beauty, Billboard in Concert) shares the best of being bad. Featuring some of Broadway’s most fearsome foes, Born to be Bad: The Villains of Broadway promises to be a night that celebrates all things evil from your favourite Broadway musicals. Don’t miss this limited run, on stage at the Capitol from June 30 to July 5.

Tahirih’s iconic vocal stylings will wow you as she takes on iconic roles all in one entirely wicked show.

Says creator and performer Tahirih Vejdani:
“Born to Be Bad is a delightfully dramatic concert celebrating musical theatre’s most fabulous villains: the characters who sweep into the story, break the rules, and steal the scene. I was inspired by the sheer joy of those big musical theatre moments where someone starts scheming, stops behaving, and fully embraces the drama. Audiences can expect a playful, glamorous, and deliciously bad evening featuring music from Broadway and beyond, with numbers made famous by troublemakers like Miss Hannigan, Cruella de Vil, and the Queen of Hearts. I chose songs that are bold, funny, outrageous, and a little dangerous; songs that let us lean into the drama, the comedy, and the fun of being bad.”
