Video – Emergency Services Dispatched to Lake Ontario for Medical Emergency

Emergency services were dispatched to the Cobourg Marina for a medical emergency on Lake Ontario.

At approximately 2:40 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026, Cobourg Fire Department and Northumberland County Paramedics were dispatched to the Cobourg Marina for a medical emergency approximately two-kilometres from shore on Lake Ontario.

Members of the Canadian Coast Guard Cape Rescue assisted paramedics to the sailboat.

The Cape Rescue along with the sailboat were brought back to shore and the person taken to Northumberland Hills Hospital for treatment.
