Update – Belleville Police – Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision Involving Pedestrian

On May 26th at 10:14 a.m., Belleville Police, Fire and Hastings Quinte Paramedics responded to the intersection of Bridge Street East and Herchimer Avenue for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
Upon arrival, a 26-year-old Belleville man was transported to Belleville General Hospital and pronounced deceased by medical staff.
The investigation remains ongoing.

Road Closure at Herchimer Ave and Bridge St E
Belleville Police are currently responding to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Bridge Street East and Herchimer Avenue. The area remains closed, with multiple emergency vehicles and personnel on scene.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
