Cobourg Kodiaks Routed by Six Nations in MSL Home Opener

Tied at five goals apiece after the first period, the Six Nations Chiefs pulled away during the final two frames to defeat the host Cobourg Kodiaks in Major Series Lacrosse action Sunday night at the Cobourg Community Centre.

Josh Byrne scored five times for the Chiefs which improved to 3-0-0 and teammate Shayne Jackson had three goals and five assists.

Alex Marinier led Cobourg with three goals and Brock Haley scored twice in the opening game loss.

The Kodiaks are back in action Wednesday night in Whitby against the Brooklin Lacrosse Club.
