Photo Gallery – Class of 2026 Celebrates During Annual Cobourg Collegiate Institute Prom Parade

In Local, Photo Gallery

Cheers, applause and camera flashes filled the air as students from Cobourg Collegiate Institute celebrated one of the biggest nights of their high school years during the annual Prom Parade on Friday, May 22, 2026.

Shortly after 5 p.m., the parade began travelling east along Dodge Street toward the LiUNA Local 183 Training Centre where the Class of 2026 would spend the evening celebrating their prom.

The annual tradition once again drew large crowds of proud family members, friends, neighbours and former teachers who gathered to watch graduates arrive in style.

Students arrived in a wide assortment of vehicles that reflected both personality and creativity. Classic cars, pickup trucks, luxury vehicles and even farm machinery rolled through the parade route carrying excited graduates dressed in formal gowns, suits and tuxedos.

As each student’s name was announced, cheers erupted from the crowd while parents and loved ones captured photos and videos of the memorable moment.

Following the introductions, graduates and their guests walked toward the entrance of the venue, pausing along the way for photographs before heading inside to begin the evening’s festivities.

For many students, the prom parade marked not only a celebration, but also one of the final major events before graduation and the next chapter in their lives begins.
