Durham Region Police – Suspicious Fire in Pickering

Police are requesting the public’s assistance following a suspicious residential fire in Pickering.

On Saturday, May 9, 2026, at approximately 2:20 a.m., members of West Division responded to an assist fire call in the area of Kerrydale Avenue and Marchington Square. Officers arrived on scene and assisted Pickering Fire Services with traffic control as firefighters worked to extinguish a home fully engulfed in flames.

No injuries have been reported to police.

Anyone that was in the area between 1:30 a.m. to 3:00 a.m., with cell phone, dash cam, surveillance footage or information about this incident is asked to contact Det. Skinner of the West Division Criminal Investigations Branch 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1905.
