Northumberland OPP – Further Charges After Sexual Assault Investigation in Campbellford

The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid additional charges in connection with an ongoing sexual assault investigation.

The investigation began on February 21, 2026, after a complainant reported an incident to police. The incident is believed to have occurred the previous day at a commercial premises on Front Street North in the Municipality of Trent Hills.

As the investigation continued, and with assistance from the Northumberland OPP Crime Unit, officers arrested the accused on four separate occasions in response to new complainants coming forward. These arrests resulted in nine additional charges, with the most recent charge laid on March 19, 2026.

Following the release of initial information, several additional victims have contacted police.

As a result, Adam MACMILLAN (43) from Campbellford, has been further charged with:

·        Sexual assault – nine counts

The accused remains before the court.

In the interest of public safety and to encourage any additional victims or witnesses to come forward, investigators are releasing a photograph of the accused.
