City of Kawartha Lakes Police – Investigation Into Drugs and Weapons (Names Released)

A male victim has been transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after being shot multiple times during an altercation on February 11, 2026.

The incident took place in front of an Adelaide Street North residence just before midnight. Two male suspects arrived at the address in a vehicle wearing face coverings and met with the male victim who were all known to each other. During a verbal argument one of the suspects produced a handgun and fired multiple shots striking the victim in the face, hand and chest.

Police arrived and determined that the injuries were consistent with a pellet gun, and obtained suspect information which was broadcast to responding units. Officers located the suspect vehicle at an Albert Street South address with the suspects still inside. They were quickly taken into custody and during a search of the vehicle police seized a replica Glock pellet pistol, ammunition, suspected cocaine and Canadian currency as well as the face coverings used in the incident.

As a result of the investigation police seized:

· Cocaine 21 grams
· Canadian Currency ($1403)
· Replica Glock 19X

20-year-old Hayden Merry-Price from Pontypool was charged with:

· Disguise with Intent
· Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – cocaine
· Assault with a Weapon
· Assault Causing Bodily Harm
· Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
· Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
· Firearm – Use while committing an offence
· Pointing a Firearm
· Careless Use of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or Ammunition

22-year-old Kristopher Peltier from Lindsay was charged with:

· Disguise with Intent
· Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – cocaine
· Assault with a Weapon
· Assault Causing Bodily Harm
· Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
· Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
· Firearm – Use while committing an offence
· Pointing a Firearm
· Careless Use of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or Ammunition

Both accused were held and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent St West in Lindsay.
