Cobourg Police were called when staff couldn’t locate the individual.

A police canine unit was called, along with members of OCEAP (Ontario Community Emergency Assistance Program) and later on members of the Cobourg Fire Department.

With flashlights, searchers scoured the streets, alleyways, parking lots, creek beds checking for any sign of the individual that may have been wearing sandals.

Temperatures through the night were approximately -6.

At approximately 5 a.m. the search was called off with no sign of the missing individual and police said it will resume in the daylight hours.

It is unknown if he is dressed appropriately for the weather but could possibly be wearing a University of Toronto Sweater that says “Dad” on it.
Police are concerned about his safety due to the cold temperatures and inclement weather.
Please see the photo attached to this release.
If you locate this male or have or have any information please call Cobourg Police. 905-372-6821
(Today’s Northumberland received this information not from the Cobourg Police Service because we have been banned, but from another media outlet.  Issues that concern the safety of individuals are paramount to get out to the public ASAP.  Again this is not the front line officers decision, but managements.  We will be bringing this up with management along with the Cobourg Police Services Board immediately)
