Video – “Front Line for Hunger” Food Drive in Port Hope

Northumberland Fare Share Food Drive got help from front line workers in Port Hope on Saturday, December 6, 2025.

The “Front Line for Hunger” food drive included members of the Port Hope Fire and Emergency Services, Port Hope Police and OCEAP was held at three locations including Independent Grocery Store, Food Basics and Giant Tiger from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m.

Traveling around in the Food Bank van picking up donations at the various locations were Blake Holton and his wife Eileen.

Also helping out with the event were students from Trinity College School.

Port Hope Police Constable Tammie Staples repeated the slogan she has stated in the past, “our town is very small, but we come together and we are strong.”

“We work well together and we give back to our community.”
