Lola Obomighie, Vice-President of People, Culture and Organizational Effectiveness at Northumberland Hills Hospital, will be honoured in Toronto later this month at an event hosted by Canada International Black Women Excellence as one of Canada’s Top 100 Black Women To Watch 2025.

The announcement came at October’s board meeting when she was congratulated by President and Chief Executive Officer Susan Walsh.

The Oct. 25 event, the Black Pearls Gala, will also mark a decade of the organization’s recognition of black women leaders across all sectors of the Canadian economy.

The Mississauga-based non-profit organization was founded to enable black women to access and maximize opportunities available in the marketplace by becoming more involved in their development and making informed choices. Their programming includes a range of platforms – events, publications, training, on-line platforms, social enterprises, capacity building and special projects.
