Video – Fifth Suspicious Fire in Downtown Cobourg

There was another suspicious fire in downtown Cobourg on Tuesday, October 1, 2025.

At approximately 10 p.m. a person walking along King Street East spotted a fire in a alley.

A small cart was engulfed in flames.

The bystander dragged the cart out of the alley and into a safe area away from any buildings and extinguished the flames.

Cobourg Police were called to the scene, members of the Cobourg Fire Department were not dispatched.

This is the fifth suspicious fire since June in downtown Cobourg with Cobourg Police not having issued any releases.
