Video – Lights On at New Golden Plough Lodge and Northumberland County Archives and Museum

In Local

The lights are definitely working at the new Golden Plough Lodge and Northumberland County Archives and Museum.

Lately the lights in the entire building are left on either for the entire night or late into the evening.

Today’s Northumberland was notified and checked out the lights around 11 p.m. recently.

It certainly appeared every light in the building was on, but there appeared to be no one in the building.

Kate Campbell, Director of Communications for Northumberland County stated the site is still in the hands of the contractor.

“A construction site is required to maintain a minimum level of lighting at all times for safety and efficiency as workers are going in and out of various spaces.  It is very typical for the last several months of a project for the lights to be left on at all times.  Once Northumberland County receives building occupancy and begins paying for utilities, as we continue through the activation period, staff will be reviewing lighting requirements.”
