Video – Patriotic Pedestrian Belts Out the National Anthem During Evening Performance in Downtown Cobourg

In Local

A patriotic pedestrian sang the Canadian anthem loud and proud on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.

At approximately 9:25 p.m. a pedestrian could be heard belting out the Canadian national anthem at the intersection on King Street East and Division Street.

It may not have been the perfect pitch, but that didn’t stop the person from walking back and forth along the crosswalk singing the anthem from start to finish.

A few minutes later, two Cobourg Police cruisers arrived on scene.

It’s unknown if police were on scene for another incident, or whether the singer’s voice didn’t get the reviews he expected.
