Video – Another Season Ends of Piping Down The Sun in Cobourg

In Local

The tradition continues in Cobourg with an impromptu flash mob at the Cobourg Harbour as the Cobourg Legion Pipes and Drums ends their summer season of Piping Down the Sun.

During the summer months a lone pipe would pipe down the sun on weekends to the delight of those in attendance.

But on Sunday, August 31, 2025, the lone piper started off at 7 p.m., but was soon joined from all areas around the north end of the harbour by members of the band.

The entire band came together to play a number of songs for the appreciative audience that signaled an end to the summer of Piping Down the Sun.
