The Town of Cobourg Development Division would like to inform the community of an upcoming public meeting regarding a development application for 202 Second Street.

The Corporation of the Town of Cobourg has received complete applications for an Official Plan Amendment and a Zoning By-law Amendment by 202 Second Street Inc. (Fotenn Planning and Design) under Sections 22 and 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c.P. 13, as amended.

The Municipal Council of the Town of Cobourg will hold a Public Meeting regarding the aforementioned applications in accordance with the provisions of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c.P. 13, as amended.

The Official Plan Amendment Application (File No. OP-2025-003) proposes to establish a site-specific Main Central Area policy to permit high-density residential, commercial and mixed uses with a height exception for the proposed nine-storey mixeduse building on the subject lands.

The Zoning By-law Amendment Application (File No. ZB-2025-003) proposes to allow both residential and commercial (mixed-use) as permitted uses on the subject lands.

Public Meeting Details
The Municipal Council of the Town of Cobourg will hold a Public Meeting in the 3rd Floor Council Chambers, Victoria Hall, 55 King Street West, Cobourg on September 17th, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. If you wish to participate via Zoom Video Conference, please register with Brent Larmer, Municipal Clerk, via e-mail at clerk@cobourg.ca or by phone at (905) 372-4301 no later than 2:00 pm on September 16, 2025. If you have limited access to technology or do not wish to participate via electronic platform, you may use a telephone and call in to participate. Alternatively, written submissions to the Municipal
Clerk, 55 King Street West, Cobourg, Ontario, K9A 2M2 in advance of the Public Meeting is encouraged and will be made available to any interested person at the Meeting.
