Northumberland County Fire Ban Lifted

In Local

Based on significant rainfall, cooler temperatures and more rain in the forecast the County-wide Open Air Burn Ban has been lifted in Northumberland County, effective immediately.

Residents are reminded to follow their local Municipal open-air burning by-laws and to always use extreme caution when performing open air burns.

Important Notes:
• Failure to comply with your local open-air burning by-laws may result in fines and/or charges under the Ontario Fire Code and Municipal By-Laws.

Residents are asked to remain vigilant, report any signs of fire immediately, and do their part to help prevent the spread of fire.

Your cooperation and understanding are appreciated as we work together to protect our community.

For updates and additional information, please visit your municipal websites or contact your local fire
department.
