Three people are facing drug trafficking charges after the seizure of illegal drugs in Quinte West and Stirling.

Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) began an investigation earlier this year into drug trafficking in the area.

On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, members of the Community Street Crime Unit, assisted by the OPP Emergency Response Team, Canine Unit and officers from the Quinte West and Central Hastings Detachments, executed search warrants at residences, on Whites Road in Quinte West and West Front Street in Stirling, as well as a business on West Front Street in Stirling and associated vehicles. Three people were arrested.

Officers seized over 92 grams of suspected cocaine, nearly 270 grams of suspected psilocybin power, and a quantity of suspected LSD and psilocybin pills. They also seized nearly $10,000 in cash and items typically associated with drug trafficking.

Lucas FERRIL, age 41 of Stirling , has been charged with:

Possession of a Schedule 3 substance for the purpose of trafficking
Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000

Paul DAWSON, age 37, and Megan GENEREAUX, age 33, both of Quinte West, have each been charged with possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking.

GENEREAUX was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on August 25, 2025.

The two other accused were held in custody and were scheduled to appear for a bail hearing on Thursday, July 31, 2025.
