Video – Car Ends Up in Rice Lake Following Collision in Alnwick/Haldimand Township

One person was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a vehicle ended up in Rice Lake on Monday, July 28, 2025.

Shortly before 9 a.m. a vehicle was traveling northbound on Shearer Point Road in Alnwick/Haldimand Township when it lost control, went across a lawn, between two trees, struck a large tree, flipping over landing on its wheels in Rice Lake.

Emergency Services including Alnwick/Haldimand Township Fire Department, Hamilton Township Fire Department, Northumberland OPP and Northumberland County Paramedics responded to the scene.

The lone occupant of the vehicle was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is continuing.
