City of Belleville Names New Deputy Fire Chief

In Local

The City of Belleville is pleased to announce the appointment of Kyle Christopher as Deputy Fire Chief.

Deputy Chief Christopher began his career with Belleville Fire and Emergency Services in 2005 as a volunteer at Station #4 and progressed through the service, most recently leading the fire prevention division as Senior Fire Prevention Officer. In addition to his role with Belleville Fire and Emergency Services, he also continues to serve as a volunteer with our neighbouring Tyendinaga Township Fire Service.

Kyle officially begins his role of Deputy Chief today where he will oversee fire prevention, training, fleet maintenance, strategic projects and emergency management, alongside co-Deputy Chief Mark Shannon.

“On behalf of Belleville Fire and Emergency Services and the City of Belleville, I would like to welcome Kyle as our newest Deputy Fire Chief,” said Director of Emergency Services and Fire Chief Dan Smith.

“Kyle’s experience with the fire service and understanding of the needs here in our community make him an invaluable asset to the team. I look forward to what the future holds for Kyle and our department as he takes on this new role.”

The City extends a warm welcome to Deputy Chief Christopher!
