Peterborough Police Service – Peterborough Man Facing Drug Charges (No Name Released)

Drug Arrest

A 48-year-old Peterborough man is facing drug trafficking charges.

At approximately 10:50am on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, after ongoing investigations into drug trafficking in the city of Peterborough, members of the Peterborough Police Service Drug Unit conducted an investigation in the area of Reid Street and McDonnel Street. As a result, a man was taken into custody.

During a search after arrest, officers seized:

  • 7 – Hydromorphine tablets
  • 1.2grams of Fentanyl
  • 1.4grams of Crack Cocaine
  • A small amount of Canadian currency

As a result of the investigation, a 48-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Hydromorphine
  • Trafficking a Schedule I Substance – Cocaine

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court August 12, 2025.
