Municipality of Brighton Begins Process to Refresh Visual Identity

In Local

Beginning July 1, the Municipality of Brighton will officially begin the initial phase of its visual identity refresh. This initiative aims to modernize the municipality’s corporate brand while thoughtfully reflecting its past, present, and bright future.

Working alongside Kitchener-based branding agency The Blondes, municipal staff will work closely with community members and community representatives through an extensive consultation process.
The initiative to purse a visual identity refresh was approved by Council during the 2025 Operating Budget, as the current logo has been in use since the amalgamation in January 2001.

Community members will have the opportunity to participate in the consultation process at the following in-person engagement booths:

July 1 from 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. – Canada Day Celebration at King Edward Park

July 13 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. – Codrington Farmers’ Market (2992 County Road 30)

July 23 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. – Concerts in the Park (Memorial Park, Downtown Brighton)

In addition to these in-person engagement booths, hard copies of the survey will be available at the Municipal Centre and Brighton Public Library (35 Alice Street), King Edward Park Arena (75 Elizabeth Street), the Municipal Public Works Building (67 Sharp Road), and at Brighton By The Bay (8 Mills Rd). A digital copy of this survey can be accessed at www.brighton.ca.

The survey will open on July 1, and close on July 25, 2025.

The new logo will be officially unveiled in January 2026.
