Northumberland OPP – Road Rage Incident Results in Charges (Name Released)

The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges following a road rage incident involving mischief.

On June 17, 2025, at approximately 10:25 a.m., officers responded to a report of a dispute between two drivers on County Road 30. Both vehicles had pulled off the roadway, and one individual was reported to have caused damage to the other’s vehicle.

Police attended the scene and took one of the individuals into custody. Further investigation revealed that the accused was suspended from driving.

As a result, James WAITE (50), of Codrington, has been charged with:

Mischief under $5,000

Driving while under suspension

In addition to a future court appearance, the accused’s vehicle was impounded for seven days.
