91-Year-Old Achieves Bronze Medal in PickleBall Tournament

In Sports

Cobourg resident Bob Carson was the oldest athlete of more than 250 participants from across Ontario who competed in the Cobourg PickleBall Spring Tournament.

On Saturday, June 7, 2025 Carson stormed the Sinclair Courts with partner Craig Jeffrey in the “any age” men’s event.

Some very fine offensive drives and slices allowed the pair to win the bronze medal in a hard fought battled in their fourth match of the day.

When asked about his impressive win he said, “Pickleball keeps me young and in the company of my good friends. They take good care of me.”
