Breaking News – Northumberland OPP Investigating Fatal Collision in Alderville

The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a serious motor vehicle collision on County Road 45 in Alderville.

On April 11, 2025, at approximately 8:40 p.m., members of the OPP, Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to the scene of a collision involving a pedestrian and a pickup truck.

The pedestrian, a 45-year-old male, from Roseneath, was transported to a local hospital where they were later pronounced deceased.

County Road 45 will remain closed at County Road 18 and County Road 24 for several hours while OPP Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) members conduct their preliminary investigation.

The investigation remains ongoing, and an update will be provided when available.
