Breaking News – Update – Adult Charged in Campbellford High School Weapons Investigation

The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged another person as a result of further investigation into the weapons call at a high school in Campbellford.

As a result of the ongoing police investigation, members of the Northumberland Crime Unit with the assistance of the Peterborough-Northumberland Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), executed a warrant in Havelock on February 26, 2025. Multiple firearms, ammunition and other weapons were seized. One person was arrested on March 3, 2025.

As a result, a 48-year-old female, from Havelock, has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

– Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition – 32 counts

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a later date. They shall not be named to protect the iden tity of the young person.
