Federal Liberal Candidate for Northumberland Clarke, John Goheen said that Mark Carney, is the leader Canada needs.

“We are living in extraordinary times. Extraordinary times require extraordinary leaders.

I believe Mark Carney is the leader that Canada and Northumberland Clarke needs.

I have had the opportunity to question some of the leadership candidates directly and to review all of the leadership candidates’ material. In addition, I have listened to what voters have told me at different events, in emails and on the phone. It has all led me to the same conclusion – Mark Carney.

While I have been positively struck by the strength that Karina Gould brings to the party and humbled by the opportunity to have a very frank and open discussion with Chrystia Freeland whom I hold in the highest regard, when I weigh the pros and cons, I continually return to Mark Carney.

Canada is facing a threat from Donald Trump that many of us could have only imagined in a fictional story. It is not fictional; it is very real and Mark Carney brings the experience and character that is most needed in this time.

His fiscal and economic expertise on the global stage is second to none.

Mark will lead us through this time and he will do it with substance and strength not slogans and personal attacks.

I am proud to endorse Mark Carney for the Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada.”
