(Today’s Northumberland file photo)

The Public Works Division will be conducting snow removal within Downtown Cobourg starting at midnight tonight until approximately 7 a.m. on Friday, January 31.

The following streets will be closed during this time for the snow removal operations:

King Street from Ball Street/Durham Street to College Street

Division Street from Covert Steet to Esplanade

George Street/Third Street from Orange Street to the Esplanade

Albert Street from Hibernia Street to McGill Street

The Town asks drivers to avoid these areas from midnight to 7 a.m. to support safe and efficient operations. Road closure signage will be up to allow crews to compete this work safely. Routes will remain open to emergency vehicles only.

The Town of Cobourg appreciates the efforts of its residents in parking off-street to allow for safe and efficient snow removal operations during the winter season.

For questions or concerns please contact the Public Works Division at 905-372-9971.
