Video – Clearing Vehicles from the Ditch After High Winds and Snow Blanket the Area

After high winds and blowing snow on Monday, January 27, 2025, there was a bit of clean-up around Northumberland County.

On Oak Ridges Drive (County Road 9) in Hamilton Township, at least two vehicles were nearly buried in the snow from yesterday.

Plows were doing their best, but a plow got stuck on West Road at County Road 9 on Tuesday while clearing roads.

While tow-trucks were in the immediate area retrieving vehicles from the ditch on both sides of the road, a driver heading eastbound put her car in the ditch.

The driver told Today’s Northumberland that her brakes failed and instead of colliding with other vehicles she put the car into the ditch.

There were at least four vehicles that were stuck or in the ditch along with the snow plow.

It appeared there was minimal to no damage to all the vehicles.
