Northumberland OPP – Investigating Home Invasion and Robbery in Alnwick/Haldimand Township

Officers from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a home invasion and robbery in the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand.

On December 13, 2024, shortly before 3:50 a.m., police received a dropped 911 call from a residence on Dudley Road. Further information was gathered that a number of individuals had entered the property and assaulted the complainant.

OPP arrived at the location along with Emergency Medical Services (EMS) where the victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and transported to a local hospital.

Two males sought in connection to the incident were gone before police arrival. Among the items taken was some jewelry.

The scene was secured by officers as Forensic Identification Services (IDENT) and the Northumberland OPP Crime Unit attended to assist with the investigation.

Investigators are asking for anyone with information or exterior home surveillance / door cameras or were in a vehicle in the area with in car video and may have seen some suspicious activity to please contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Peterborough & Northumberland Crime Stoppers at 705-745-9000. When you contact Crime Stoppers you remain anonymous, you will never have to testify, and you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
