Cobourg Police – Kingston Man Charged with Sexual Assault, Assault Cause Bodily Harm (No Name Released)

A 53-year-old Kingston man is facing charges following intimate-partner violence offences.

On the 4th of December 2024, at approximately 9:30 a.m., police were dispatched to a residence in the
Town of Cobourg for an assault. Officers located and arrested a male matching the suspect description.

After further investigation, the 53-year-old man was charged with Sexual Assault, Assault Cause Bodily
Harm – Choke, Suffocate or Strangle, Possession of a Schedule I Substance and two counts of Assault –
Spousal.

He was held for a bail hearing and later remanded into custody.

The victim’s injuries were treated at hospital.
