Quinte West OPP – One Person Facing Charges After Cocaine and Other Drugs Seized (Name Released)

A Quinte West resident faces drug trafficking charges after an investigation by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit.

On Tuesday, December 3, 2024, Street Crime Unit members, assisted by OPP Emergency Response Team members, the Canine Unit and Quinte West OPP members, executed search warrants in the west end of Quinte West. One person was arrested.

Officers seized over o ne kilogram of suspected cocaine, 600 suspected oxycodone pills, nearly seven grams of suspected methamphetamine, and over $4,600 in cash. They also items typically associated to drug trafficking, as well as a conducted energy weapon and a butterfly knife.

Tanner WICKENS, age 24 of Quinte West, has been charged with:

Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – three counts

Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000

Possession of a prohibited device – two counts

The accused was remanded in custody and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Belleville at a later date.
