Peterborough County OPP – Man Charged with Theft of Trailer (Name Released)

Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) have made an arrest in relation to a stolen trailer that was recovered while trying to be sold.

On Tuesday October 29, 2024, the Peterborough County OPP CSCU executed a warrant at a property in Douro-Dummer Township. Members of the unit had become aware of a trailer matching the description of one stolen earlier this summer from a business in Selwyn township, listed online for sale. Officers attended the location finding the trailer and confirming it t o be the stolen trailer.

Branden LANE (age 34) of Douro-Dummer Twp., ON., was arrested and charged with:

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000

The accused was held for Bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough.
