Update – Northumberland OPP – Break-In Trent Hills

The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has recovered one of the vehicles stolen in a break and enter occurrence.

On October 9, 2024, shortly after 6:30 p.m., OPP responded to a break and enter that occurred sometime between 6:00 p.m. on October 8, and 6:00 p.m., on October 9, 2024 at a location on Godolphin Road.

An OPP Scenes Of Crime Officer (SOCO) attended to assist with the investigation where a number of shipping containers and a shed had been broken into. Among the property stolen was an ATV, an UTV, a gas generator, multiple chainsaws and an utility trailer. The approximate value of all items stolen is $55,000.

On October 20, 2024, a member of the public reported an abandoned UTV at the end of a trail in the area of Godolphin Road, County Road 25 and County Road 35. The vehicle was reco vered from the location on October 21, 2024. Police would like to thank the assistance of the public regarding this information.
